Built in the early 1900s, this historic landmark was the first unified Corolla school created by the Currituck County School system and was open through the late 1950s. The schoolhouse has since been restored by Twiddy & Company Realtors and currently houses the Corolla Wild Horse Fund offices, a free interactive wild horse museum, a Spanish Mustang retail shop, and original art by national equine artist Robin Caspari. Located in the heart of Old Corolla Village the Corolla School House and Corolla Wild Horse Museum offer fun educational activities for children in the summer. Call for program information. There is no admission fee for the museum and nominal fees for children's programs.
